About Us

After over a decade of unsuccessful attempts at engaging Silberman School of Social Work (Silberman) and CUNY Hunter College administrators in meaningful dialogue in order to effectively address the severe and ongoing hostility toward the Jewish and Israeli community members on their campuses, two students and two alumni turned to the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) and filed a Title VI complaint against the university. However, to our dismay, we learned that OCR's process protects schools and administrators by halting its own investigation into a complaint upon request from school administrators - a flawed practice that allows universities to evade official findings of misconduct and violations of federal law.

We are here to do what CUNY administrators and OCR have refused to do - listen to students affected by an environment of hate toward the Jewish people and work to effectively redress it. Help us shine a light on the rampant antisemitism at Silberman, Hunter College and the entire CUNY system. Help us expose that these schools and the system they operate under are teaching antisemitism, maintaining an environment of antisemitism and graduating students who espouse antisemitism. Join us in demanding that institutions of learning and agencies tasked with ensuring the integrity of those institutions, especially when it comes to protecting students, fulfill their mandates.
